SMEEC
The Sistema-inspired Music Education and Exchange with Canada (SMEEC), co-funded by the European Union’s Culture Programme, allowed children, young people and teachers from In Harmony Lambeth, In Harmony Liverpool, In Harmony Telford & Stoke and Sistema in Norwich to travel and perform outside England in 2015.
Trips included an exchange with Sistema Italia in Milan, a one-week residency at Sistema Sweden’s Side By Side Camp in Gothenburg, and a Sistema-themed festival in Canada organised by Sistema Toronto and the Leading Note Foundation’s OrKidstra programme.
The SMEEC project was match-funded by the European Union’s Culture Programme.
